In this episode, the Buddies enjoy low-sugar blueberry-kiwi-gin iced tea with special guest Laura Lintz, a fascinating “woman to watch” and true industry “disruptor” in terms of how people view and interact with their library.

Topics range from library pooping (it’s a thing, apparently), letting wolves loose at library functions (which should NOT be a thing) and watching porn in the library (which apparently has ALWAYS been a thing).

The Buddies get a treat in the form of guest bartending from Mel, who stops by to mix up fancy “Paper Crane” cocktails and then runs away!

The very interesting board game “T.I.M.E Stories” gets a careful review, so as to not ruin everything.

Then S’Mike bravely straps on Mike’s new Daydream View VR helmet, and hilarity ensues (just look at the pic!)

Also: Future Man! American Gods! And potential projectile vomiting!

 

Paper Crane Cocktail

Ingredients

  • Ice
  • 3/4 ounce bourbon
  • 3/4 ounce Nonino Quintessentia amaro (bittersweet Italian liqueur)
  • 3/4 ounce Aperol (bitter orange Italian aperitif)
  • 3/4 ounce fresh lemon juice
  • Ginger beer, to taste

Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add all of the remaining ingredients and shake well. Strain into a chilled glass.
